Our first report of the year!
Just to keep you updated with what we have been up to…
Our first meeting this year was to see Aladdin at The Regent Theatre in Stoke – Oh yes it was!! We had a great night, the 3D effects were really spooky!!
Then we had a games night, obstacle races, egg and spoon, bean bags and that sort of thing, to work off some of the extras we ate over Christmas. We carried that on by having a Salsacise night, really popular and great fun.
We also had a night exploring all of our senses, feeling different textures, smells, sites and sounds which made us all think how lucky we are to have them.
We have had a competition to rebrand the tuck shop which is now called “Shop Way”, won by Steven, but we had some other great entries too.
We were first in the queue to see Black Panther at our monthly visit to Cinebowl, where you can either watch a suitable film or go bowling.
This week was one of our famous disco nights with competitions for rock and roll, ballroom, air guitar, the twist and other dances, thank you to our resident DJ Paul.
Next week on the 27th February, we have The Mel Baines Trio here to entertain us.
Everybody is welcome, not just members and volunteers, so come and have look at us. The Club is open most Tuesdays at 6.30pm in St Mary’s Catholic Church Hall, Balance Street. Take a look at the Events page for more details.
