What a great night we had last night.
Peter Dixon came along played his organ and guitar. He played songs of the 60s and 70s.
The audience sang along and accompanied him with an assortment of tambourines and shakers.
Some of the members and staff got up to dance.

We travelled from Uttoxeter by coach and arrived at Crosby Beach before lunchtime to see the Anthony Gormley statues on the beach and walked along the Sea front, the tide was out so we could take a stroll on the beach to get some pictures taken of the statues.
We arrived at the hotel and after everyone familiarised themselves with where everything was, we had our evening meal, and afterwards enjoyed the entertainment.
The weather was awful most of the time so we made use of the otels facilities – Swimming, Quizzes, Games and Line Dancing.
Some of the Group wanted to go to the Dungeons, the Blackpool Tower and the Blackpool Eye.
On Tuesday we all went on a Trip to Fleetwood Market and Cleveleys for lunch. When we arrived back at the hotel they served us with an afternoon cream tea.
Another day we went to the Pier, where some fancied their chances on the penny slot machines. Tina and Heidi went up on the Blackpool Eye.
Following the pier, we walked to the Tower Ballroom where we spent the afternoon, drinking tea, enjoying the dancing and the guy playing the Wurlitzer organ. Some of us took to the dance floor, even though we were not dressed appropriately.
We also went for a visit to the Sealife Centre and did a bit of shopping.
The entertainment in the hotel was very good with different acts every night. They have Bingo first, and although it doesn’t suit everyone, there are one or two of our members who are quite partial to bit of Bingo.
Joseph outstayed the comedienne with his performance – not to be forgotten! Ashley and Joe strutted their air guitars with a request which we made for Status Quo and Heidi entertained the guests with her lovely dancing. All the members and staff got up to dance. A good time was had by all!
Our helper Sue said she would also like to thank all our members, the other guests at the Clairemont Hotel and their staff for making our holiday so enjoyable.
